What will your day look like

As a Pricing Data Analyst, you will perform various ad-hoc and repeatable analyses geared toward increasing overall pricing sophistication, including improving pricing data assets and leveraging data to uncover business insights and inform pricing strategies.

You will also be accountable for the following:
Data wrangling, visualization, and exploration to extract insights around various customer and product segments, in order to inform pricing strategies for these segments.
Drawing from data-driven insights, undertake further analysis to gauge the financial impact of various pricing strategies.
Building robust data assets to enable analysis and insights to be readily extracted by the Pricing CoE
Building or automating various processes required by the team to facilitate targeted pricing strategies and campaigns.
Building, refreshing, or refining predictive models used for various pricing related insights.
Updating various code libraries and other custom analytics tools in use by the team.
Developing business intelligence reporting to understand the impact of pricing decisions
Assisting with the design of optimal pricing scenarios for the home loans, deposits, or commercial lending portfolios.
Implementing a statistically sound approach to measure the effectiveness of a proposed pricing strategy
What will you bring?

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Experience in a related, quantitative role, with a track record of utilizing data-driven approaches to drive commercial outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to translate detailed analysis into a succinct and compelling story for key stakeholders.
Experience presenting analysis results to stakeholders and working with them to refine and discover further points of interest.
Excellent data wrangling skills, including data exploration and cleaning.
A sound understanding of standard statistical methods and experience applying these methods in SAS, Python, R, or Excel/VBA.
Proficiency programming in SAS, SQL, R or Python
Experience visualising data and using visualisation tools such as Tableau or Qliksense.
A degree in a business or STEM discipline (e.g. commerce, economics, econometrics, data science, mathematics, actuarial studies, engineering, or IT would be highly regarded.)
Applicants from other background who have demonstrated upskilling of technical/data capabilities via other channels – e.g. data micro-courses from providers such as Datacamp, Udemy and Coursera are also encouraged to apply
